Vehicle Fire on County Road 1000 East.

The Turkey Creek Fire Territory responded at 12:32 PM to a report of a vehicle fire at the intersection of CR 1250N and CR 1000E. Upon arrival to the intersection, no vehicle fire is located. Fire crews widened the search for the vehicle fire and the incident is located approximately 50 yards north of the CR 1350N and CR 1000E intersection. The vehicle engine is noted to be running with no occupants inside of the vehicle. The vehicle doors are locked and the transmission is noted to be in park. The vehicle windows are broken in order to gain access to the fire in the passenger compartment The vehicle engine is disabled from the engine compartment of the vehicle due to extensive fire damage to the ignition switch area of the vehicle. The vehicle is ruled a total loss with damages estimated at up to $3,500.00. A wrecker is contacted for removal of the vehicle from the roadway. One engine remained on scene until the vehicle is removed by wrecker. The scene was cleared at 2:29 PM.
