On June 30th, Syracuse Fire Department recieved a new Aerial Apparatus. This apparatus was purchased from Willow Springs Fire Department in Illinois. The Ladder is a 2001 E-One. It has a 95 foot ladder.

Congratulations to Fire Lt. Tony Meek and Firefighter Nick Stickel for being accepted into the 2010 Elkhart General Hospital Paramedic Program. They will begin class in April and will be complated in 2011.
At the monthly Turkey Creek Township Fire Territory Board meeting held at Station 2, discussion was held in regards to a new Generator for Station 1. Bids were opened and it was decided to award the project to Middlebury Electric.

Congratulations to Cody Manges. Cody Manges has been a volunteer with Syracuse Fire Department for the past two years. Cody was hired to take over for the departing Jeremy Caudill. Cody comes to Syracuse after having worked full time for Multi-Township EMS.
