Wawasee Property Owner Association breakfast was held on Saturday 6/23/12. Public was invited to come and view all the trucks and equipment. Firefighters also were on hand to show and explain how equipment was used.

September 27, 2011 Syracuse Fire Department responded to a fire at Jasper Plastics. Upon arrival crews found that a fire had occured in one of the ovens. The fire had been extinguished prior to the arrival of the fire department by a fire sprinkler.

Shade Keeney has resigned from Syracuse Fire Department. Shade started service with the department on January 1st, 2009 as a Firefighter/Advanced EMT. Shade was on B Shift. Shade provided a lot of good insight and training in fire suppression and tactics.

On March 17, 2011, Syracuse EMS responded to a call for a person down. Upon arrival EMS personel found a pt in cardiac arrest. CPR was in progress as crews arrived on scene. Crews were able to get a return of spontaneous circulation.
